BMO Sankoo launches IMI 5.0 Immunisation Campaign At Sankoo

Kargil 10 AUGUST 2023:-First phase of the Intensified Mission Indradhanush (IMI) 5.0 – a nationwide immunization drive was launched on Thursday at Ayushman Bharat Health & Wellness Center Thasgam, Sankoo, Kargil

Block Medical officer Community Health Center Sankoo, Dr Ghulaam Hussain in presence of ITO officer, JHI CHC Sankoo and other dedicated health staff members were present during the launch of campaign.

The Immunization was aimed to cover children aged between 0-5 who missed vaccines in the national immunisation schedule.

IMI 5.0 aims to ensure that all children between the ages of 0 and 5 years, as well as pregnant women, who may have missed vaccinations or are partially unvaccinated, receive comprehensive coverage through this well-structured campaign.

While Speaking on the occasion BMO Sankoo Dr Ghulaam Hussain highlighted the importance of vaccination for preventing diseases and saving lives and added that vaccination is one of the most cost-effective public health interventions and has averted millions of deaths and disabilities worldwide.

Moreover IMI vaccination Compaign were also launched at various Health institutions including H&WC Chaychesna, H&WC Chumikchan, H&WC Kahalamarpoo, and H&WC Barsoo, GMPore, NTPHC Saliskote, NTPHC Trespone,H&WC Faroona & Thovina.
