ADGP Ladakh visits Indo-PAK frontier areas of Nubra Subdivision to asses security situation as well as to review ongoing works 

 

Leh, August 19: ADGP, Head of Ladakh Police, Dr. SD Singh Jamwal, accompanied by SP Leh, Nitya; SSP, AIG ( Prov), PHQ Ladakh, Sonam Dechen, and Dy. S.P Provision, Ghulam Ali are on two days official visit to Indo-PAK frontier areas of Nubra Sub-Division to assess the security situation in the border areas and also to inspect & review various ongoing and proposed works of Ladakh Police.

 

The police team headed by ADGP Ladakh Police was accorded a grand traditional reception by the public of Bogdang and Turtuk.

 

On the first day of the visit, ADGP Ladakh visited Bogdang and Turtuk villages where he inaugurated Youth Club Bogdang which is conceptualised and established by District Police Leh of Ladakh Police at Bogdang.

At Turtuk, ADGP Ladakh inaugurated recently completed quarters for the accommodation of police personnel.

It is to mention that Ladakh Police has been initiated to construct suitable and winter-friendly building infrastructure by incorporating passive solar technologies to facilitate better housing satisfaction of the police personnel on duty especially in remote harsh areas.

 

During the inauguration ceremony, ADGP Ladakh stated that Ladakh Police has been working hard to raise various infrastructure and build the skills of Ladakh Police since its inception in 2019 so that police personnel can serve public effectively.

 

Further, he also inspected the functioning of police establishments and various citizen-centric services at Police Post Turtuk and Police Checkpost Bogdang for the facilitation/ welfare of general public and tourists.

He also interacted with the police personnel posted at Turtuk & Bogdang and reviewed their welfare.

Additionally, he instructed police personnel to work sincerely and dedicatedly for the welfare of people, to maintain peace & order and national integrity/security in the border region.

 

During the visit, ADGP Ladakh attended and chaired police public meeting at Bodgang and Turtuk. He interacted with the general public and representatives of the areas and heard their grievances and assured to redress the grievances pertaining to Police and other issues which shall be taken up with the concerned departments.
