IISM Gulmarg Announces Snow Skiing Courses for Kargil & Drass: 20 Seats Reserved for Local Youth

The Indian Institute of Skiing & Mountaineering (IISM) Gulmarg, J&K, in collaboration with the Tourism Department of Ladakh, has announced two winter Snow Skiing Courses for Kargil and Drass this season. The initiative aims to promote adventure sports, enhance skill development, and provide local youth with professional training opportunities in snow skiing.

According to a notice issued by the Office of the Assistant Director Tourism, Kargil, 20 seats—10 in each course—are exclusively reserved for local participants.

Both courses are structured to provide world-class skiing training under certified instructors, helping youth build careers in adventure tourism and winter sports.

Required Documents for Registration

Interested candidates must submit the following documents:

Aadhar Card Two passport-size photographs Ski Course Certificate (from any government-recognized institute, if available) Demand Draft of Rs. 5000, drawn in favour of Pay and Accounts Officer, Ministry of Tourism, payable at RCC Srinagar

The documents must be submitted to the Office of the Assistant Director, Tourism Department, Kargil, on or before 6th December 2025, 2:00 PM.
