Kargil, May 02, 2026: A delegation of Urdu Language Teacher aspirants and concerned citizens of Kargil today called on Hon’ble Chairman and Chief Executive Councillor (CEC) of the Ladakh Autonomous Hill Development Council (LAHDC), Kargil, Dr. Mohd Jaffer Akhoon, and submitted a memorandum regarding the recruitment of Urdu Language Teachers under Samagra Shiksha in Kargil.
The delegation highlighted that while around 300 posts for Urdu Language Teachers were advertised last year, the number has been reduced to 200 this year without any known reason, causing disappointment among deserving and qualified youth of the district. They urged that the posts be restored to full strength as per the actual requirement of schools in Kargil.

Taking serious note of the matter, CEC Dr. Akhoon assured the delegation of an early resolution and informed that the matter has already been taken up with the Secretary, School Education, Ms. Bhanu Prabha, IAS. He further discussed the matter with Deputy Commissioner Kargil, Director Education Ladakh, and the Chief Education Officer Kargil to take necessary steps in this regard.
