Commissioner Secretary Finance Inaugurates Handicrafts, Handlooms, Local Cuisine & Chang-Khang Exhibition

Leh, September 26, 2026: As part of Ladakh Festival 2026, the Commissioner/Secretary, Finance Department, UT Ladakh, Shri Tsewang Tharchin, today inaugurated the Handicrafts, Handlooms, Local Cuisine & Chang-Khang exhibition at the Municipal Committee Park, Leh Market, as part of the ongoing Ladakh Festival 2026.

He was accompanied by Secretary, Tourism & Culture, UT Ladakh, Shri Sanjit Rodrigues; Director Tourism, Tashi Dolma; Deputy Director Tourism, Mohd Taqi; Deputy Secretary Culture, Tsewang Paljor, besides other officers and officials.

The Commissioner/Secretary, along with other dignitaries, visited the exhibitors and inspected the exhibits showcasing the rich handicrafts, handlooms, traditional cuisine and cultural heritage of Ladakh. The exhibition also features live demonstrations by local artisans, including basket weaving, wood carving, pottery and other traditional crafts.

The exhibition provides a platform for local artisans and craftspeople to showcase their skills, traditional products and cultural heritage to visitors and tourists during the Ladakh Festival 2026.

The exhibition will remain open for visitors till September 28, 2026.
