SHS&T, Kargil Campus Organises Five-Day Entrepreneurship Development Programme on ‘Enterprising Ladakh’

Kargil, Ladakh 12 Oct, 2026: The School of Horticulture Science and Technology (SHS&T), Kargil Campus, University of Ladakh, organised a five-day Entrepreneurship Development Programme (EDP) entitled “Enterprising Ladakh”, featuring an expert session delivered by Dr. Zahoor Ahmad Paray. The programme aimed to promote entrepreneurial thinking among undergraduate students of agriculture and horticulture and encourage them to explore entrepreneurship as a viable career option, particularly in the context of Ladakh’s unique socio-economic and environmental conditions.

During the programme, Dr. Zahoor Ahmad Paray delivered an insightful session highlighting the importance of entrepreneurship in regional development, employment generation, innovation, and economic self-reliance. He encouraged students to identify local resources, explore emerging business opportunities, and develop innovative solutions to address challenges faced by local communities.
