Secretary Padma Angmo visits Government Model Degree College Zanskar
Underlines need to start skill development courses for students at KVK-II
KARGIL, OCTOBER 02, 2021:Secretary Social/Tribal Welfare, Higher/Technical Education, Skill Development and Information & Public Relations Department Ladakh Padma Angmo on Friday visited Government Model Degree College Zanskar and took stock of the overall functioning of the college including the academic activities, availability of infrastructure and status of the pace of progress on various ongoing projects.
The Secretary also interacted with the staff members and students and discussed various issues related to the college. She inspected the administrative block , academic block, laboratory, library and canteen of the college and also inaugurated an intramural table tennis tournament there.
A cultural programme was also presented by the students on the occasion.
Secretary Padma also visited the Krishi Vigyan Kendra (KVK) II, Sher-e-Kashmir University of Agriculture Science and Technology (SKUAST) Zanskar.
The Secretary directed the concerned officers to start short-time skill training courses for students of Government Model Degree College Zanskar on the lines of of the courses which have been started by SKUAST in other degree colleges of UT Ladakh.
Meanwhile, en route Kargil, Secretary Padma also inspected various Anganwadi Centers and enquired about Severely Acutely Malnourished (SAM), Moderately Acutely Malnourished (MAM) and Poshan Abhiyan which was held in the month of September this year.
