DC Leh reviews progress of JJM in Saspol and Nimo block
Leh, October 23: The Deputy Commissioner Leh, Shrikant Suse today visited several villages of Saspol and Nimoo block, such as Ulley Tokpo, Alchi, Nimoo, Basgo, Gyera, Likir and Saspol to review the status of ongoing works under Jal Jeevan Mission.
Superintendent of Engineer (SE), Public Works Department (PWD) along with Executive Engineer Public Health Engineering (PHE) gave detailed on-site progress at these villages in terms of construction of service reservoir, main lines and distribution networks and procurement of material among others.
He directed concerned Assistant Executive Engineers, Junior Engineers and contractors to expedite works maintaining quality of works. DC Leh directed to ensure all Functional Household Tap Connections (FHTCs) in these villages to be completed by 15th November without fail.
Third-Party Inspection Agency (TPIA) was directed to ensure timely on-site inspection of works and material as per schedule.
He was accompanied by the Councillor, Saspol constituency, Smanla Dorje Nurboo; SE PWD; Sub-divisional Magistrate (SDM), Likir, Executive Engineer, PHE Leh and concerned field staff.
