GMS Lankerchay Thang organizes exposure tour for students to Kargil

Students vsit LoC viewpoint Hunderman Brok, Kargil Airport, Chutuk Power Station, Council Secretariat Kargil

KARGIL SEPTEMBER 25, 2022: Government Middle School Lankerchay Thang, Kargil on Saturday organized an exposure tour for students to different areas of Kargil.

During the tour, students visited LoC viewpoint Hunderman Brok, Kargil Airport, Chutuk Power Station and Council Secretariat Kargil.

A total of 86 students participated in the exposure visit that helped them to gain a wide range of knowledge about Kargil district.

During the visit to LoC viewpoint at Hunderman Brok, students were educated about the India Pakistan war, closure of Kargil-Skardo road and other historical developments.

At Kargil airport, the concerned officials briefed students about air traffic control besides shared the knowledge about airport functioning.

At National Hydroelectric Power Corporation (NHPC) Chutuk, Kargil HR Manager briefed about various activities being undertaken by Chutak Power Station under CSR&SD initiative of NHPC Limited for the development of the local area of Kargil.

The students were excited and expressed their gratitude for the opportunities offered during the tour. “It was a great exposure and a learning opportunity which will further help us in the future,” the students said.

All students participated in the exposure tour with great zeal and enthusiasm.
