Energy conservation day celebrates at Zojjila Tunnel eastern portal
KARGIL DECEMBER 14: The National Energy Conservation Day is observed by Megha Engineering & Infrastructures Ltd. in coordination with Authority Engineer Team NHIDCL, ZEP on “Energy Conservation at Eastern portal of the Zojjila Tunnel.
The day focuses on making people aware of global warming and climate change and promotes efforts towards saving energy resources.
Conserving energy is a big necessity for the future and the present. Energy conservation is a practice, and it should be a habit for everyone. The true meaning of energy conservation is to avoid unnecessary use of energy and to use least energy so that energy sources can be saved for future uses. To make energy conservation plans more effective, every person should include energy conservation in their behaviour.
Guest speaker Astt. Professor Mumtaz, Faculty of Physics Department Degree College Drass, and Mohd Amin Polo, Sports & Cultural activist spoke about the day and its importance.
The officers from MEIL & Authority Engineer Team spoke on the energy crises and their solution with conservative approach for future saving. The speakers showered light on the daily usage and saving of energy as responsibility of every individual who is engaged with this planet earth. The slogan for the energy conservation by the Bureau of energy efficiency is “Save energy today for safe tomorrow’’ was also highlighted to the staff, workers and others present in the function.
