Additional Secretary, Higher Education visits Drass College with PWD Officers
Kargil, July 20, 2024: Additional Secretary, Higher Education/Joint Director, Information, Ladakh, Imteeaz Kacho today visited Drass for an on-spot review of the works being executed in Government Degree College, Drass. 
He was accompanied by Executive Engineer, PW(R&B)-Kargil, Mohammad Sadiq; Principal, Government Degree College, Drass, Dr. Amjad Ali Abbasi; Assistant Executive Engineer, Mohammad Ali Khan and other officials.
The progress of works of the hostel block of the College, being executed by PWD(R&B)-Kargil were discussed in detail. Instructions were given to the contractors to complete different components of the project in a time-bound manner. The Officers also inspected the complex of the hostel block and highlighted the need for speeding up various works early. 
Other issues of the College like availability of teaching staff, requirement of outsourced staff, UG admissions, transportation, student welfare, future developments and forthcoming events also came up for discussion.
