CEC Dr Jaffer Akhoon attends annual function of Govt. Higher Secondary School Lankerchey

 

Kargil, July 01, 2024: Chairman/CEC, LAHDC, Kargil, Dr Mohd Jaffer Akhoon today attended the annual function of Govt. Higher Secondary School Lankerchey.

 

During the event, Councilor Lankerchey, Ghulam Haider, Principal of the school, teachers, staff, students and parents were present during the meeting.

 

Speaking at the event, the CEC congratulated the principal, teachers, staff and students of the school for organizing the annual function. He lauded the participation of girl students at a large scale. The CEC said the development of society is a collaborative effort with the participation of both women and men in all the spheres of life.

 

Dr Jaffer said the Higher Secondary School Lankerchey maintains a good position among all the higher secondary schools of Kargil district in terms of roll enrolment, availability of quality of dedicated teaching staff and result.

 

The CEC Kargil said despite the implementation of new CBSC pattern in schools, the students performed well in this yearโ€™s 10th and 12th board exams.

 

While expressing optimism, he said the teaching staff will put more efforts to improve the final result of coming year board exams.

 

CEC Dr Jaffer said that the winter residential coaching played a very important role this year. He said the directions have been passed to CEO and Director School Education to continue the winter coaching this year as well.

 

CEC Kargil also said that a meeting has been held at the Ministry level in Delhi for providing residential coaching with hostel facilities in all higher secondary schools of the district.

 

While responding to the memorandum of demands presented by the school including insufficient teaching resources, shortage of staff, covering of 2nd floor of the school building, construction of additional room for Atal Tinkering Lab equipment, transport facility for students from far flung villages, the CEC Kargil directed AEE SVD to prepare an estimate DPR for covering the third floor of the school building with alumni frames.

 

He also directed to prepare DPR for the construction of additional room for the installation of lab equipments. Regarding the vacant posts, CEC Kargil said that the rationalization will be done at the end of this year keeping in view the student teacher ratio.

 

The CEC also said that the deliberations were held at the ministry level to provide remuneration of 6000 per year for the transport facility. He also said that the rest of the demands will also be fulfilled in a phased manner.

 

Councilor Lankerchey thanked CEC Kargil for his visit to the school despite his busy schedule. He also congratulated staff, teachers, and students for organizing the annual day.

 

The Councilor assured to provide 2 AC systems and one Smart Board to the school. He also said that the other demands will be fulfilled along with the support of CEC Kargil at the earliest.

 

Meanwhile, the program ended with colourful cultural performances presented by students. Medals and momentous were also distributed among the students for their extraordinary performances in various events and board exams.
