
Kargil, December 3, 2025: Hon’ble Chairman and Chief Executive Councillor, LAHDC Kargil, Dr. Mohd Jaffer Akhoon today attended the Annual Function-cum-Community Mobilisation Programme at Government Middle School, Karchekhar, where he graced the occasion as the Chief Guest.
Addressing the gathering, the Hon’ble CEC highlighted the importance of quality education and reiterated his firm commitment towards strengthening the educational ecosystem across the district. He appreciated the students for their hard work and dedication, especially congratulating the girl students who secured the top positions in all classes. He stated that education is the key not only to success but also to building a better life, a civilised society and respectful individuals. “Through education, we can uplift and shine the entire community,” he added.
The Hon’ble CEC also appreciated the dedicated efforts of the Village Education Committee members, acknowledging their active involvement in the smooth functioning and overall improvement of the school. Their continued cooperation with teachers and the school administration, he noted, plays a vital role in creating a positive learning environment for the children and strengthening the foundation of the village’s educational future.
Responding to the demands raised by the Village Education Committee and school authorities, the Hon’ble CEC assured full support and committed to addressing the genuine needs of the institution at the earliest. He also announced an amount of ₹2 lakh from the Untied Fund for the school to meet essential requirements, in addition to ₹5,000 as a token of encouragement for the students who showcased exceptional performances during the programme and all other students of the school.
Further, the Hon’ble CEC assured the people of Karchekhar that all genuine demands—including the construction of a new school building, link road connectivity to the school, road fencing and other requirements—will be taken up and fulfilled. He reaffirmed that all pending works in the area will be completed within his tenure.
The Hon’ble CEC appealed to parents to give special care and dedicated attention to their children’s studies after school hours, emphasising that parental involvement plays a crucial role in shaping the future of students.
Deputy CEO, ZEO Sankoo, members of the Village Education Committee and the Headmaster expressed their gratitude to the Hon’ble CEC for attending the programme despite his busy schedule, acknowledging his sincere commitment towards the promotion of education and encouragement of students and parents.
