CEC, Leh felicitates Ladakh’s Sr.Archery team after National Championship

Leh Oct 08: The Chairman/CEC, LAHDC Leh, Adv. Tashi Gyalson today felicitated the Archery team (Indian and Compound Round) of UT Ladakh who participate in the 40th Senior National Archery Championship at Jharkhand recently.

The team from UT Ladakh bagged 5th position overall in the Indian Round and 16th in the Compound round.

CEC Tashi Gyalson congratulated the participants and stated said that the archers have made Ladakh proud by achieving such feats in their first ever National Championship representing Ladakh. He appreciated the team from Ladakh Archery Association for their tireless effort in training and preparing the local archers for national championships. He also highlighted that LAHDC Leh has been working tirelessly for the upliftment of Archery as a professional sport in Ladakh and assured to establish good infrastructure for Archery in Ladakh with the coordination of the UT Administration.

Ladakh Archery Association extended gratitude to the Hill Council Leh for their continuous support for the archers of Ladakh during the Championship. They stressed the need to train archers at a young age aiming for long term championship in future.

Among present on the occasion were Dy Chairman, Tsering Angchuk, Councillor Khaltsi/General Secretary, AAL, Lobzang Sherab; Executive Members of Ladakh Archery Association and archers of team UT Ladakh.
