Kargil, April 23, 2026: Deputy Commissioner/ CEO, LAHDC Kargil, Rakesh Kumar along with the Additional Deputy Commissioner and the Executive Officer, MAC, and SE PHE/I&FC, conducted a detailed tour of the Kargil Town Water Supply Scheme.
The visit included inspection of the newly proposed tube well at Titichumik, the existing lift water source near TFC Kargil, and the alignment of the raw water gravity pipeline from Akchamal (Chuber).
After a comprehensive assessment of the existing setup, the Chairman, DWSM, instructed that a proposal be prepared for further fine-tuning of the system. He also directed that a detailed meeting with all stakeholders be convened in the coming days.
