Now Department of Surgery District Hospital Kargil will start PostGraduates Degree course as in Govt Medical Colleges.

Dr Sajjad Hussain, Sr Consultant Surgeon and Nodal Officer for DNB post-graduate course District Hospital Kargil congratulated the People of Kargil on this historic accomplishment as District Hospital Kargil will teach the postgraduate students in Surgery from January 2025 onwards.

Dr Sajjad Hussain and Dr Mohd Abass thanked the Hon’ble Lieutenant Governor Brigadier (Dr) BD Mishra, Honble CEC, LAHDC, Kargil Dr Mohd Jaffer Akhoon, Advisor to HLG, Dr Pawan Kotwal,Commissioner Secretary Health, Dr. Vasanthakumar Namasivayam, Deputy Commissioner/CEO Shrikant Balasaheb Suse, Director Health Dr Motup Dorjay , CMO Kargil Dr Liaqat Ali Wazir and Medical Superintendent Dr Stanzin Namgyal District Hospital Kargil for procuring two advanced Laparoscopic machines, Laser equipment and latest gadgets of Surgery along with making two state of the art latest Modular operation theatres, beside emergency operation theatres at District Hospital Kargil.

Dr Sajjad Hussain also thanked them for establishing Lattest Surgical endoscopy unit with latest gadgets for interventions in Cystoscopy, Colonoscopy/sigmoidoscopy and UGI endoscopy. Lattest Cold H2O2 Plasma Sterlizer systems were also installed in the O.Ts of District Hospital Kargil.

Library with latest medical books and online Journals have also been established at District Hospital kargil along with Surgical Simulation room for the postgraduate students.

He retrieted his surgical team’s commitment to teach the postgraduates the art of surgery and medicine and patient care along with teachings of latest techniques in Surgical field.

He also thanked his colleagues, anaesthetists and dedicated OT staffs of District Hospital Kargil for their efficient services to make District Hospital Kargil one of the best institutions of learning and teachings and centre of excellence in the field of Surgery.
