EC Tashi flags off Rohtang Riders towards Leh

KARGIL, SEPTEMBER 14, 2022:

Executive Councillor for RDD, Tourism and Zanskar Affairs, Er Punchok Tashi today flagged off Rohtang Riders of cold desert Lahaul Spiti from Kargil towards Leh.

EC Tashi said Rohtang riders act as the travel agent of Lahaul Spiti. They started the bike from Lahaul Spiti to Kishtwar then Kishtwar to Srinagar and reached Kargil on Tuesday.

Stakeholders of the Tourism Department, Himachal Pradesh, 40 bikers and 10 cars are taking part in the event.

The EC also said Rohtang Riders from Lahaul Spiti, Himachal Pradesh led by Gyaltsan Jispa is a group that acts as a bridge between Ladakh and Himachal Pradesh for the promotion of tourism in the Union territory of Ladakh.

On the occasion, Tashi extended good wishes for the rally and thanked them for exploring Ladakh as it has huge tourism potential to attract national and international tourists.
