The Department of Mass Communication & Journalism at Eliezer Joldan Memorial College, Leh, in collaboration with Charkha Communication Network, Delhi, concluded its 4-day puppetry-making and stop-motion animation workshop on September 6, 2024. The workshop held from September 3-6, aimed to enhance the creative and technical storytelling skills of Journalism students.
The final day featured a student-led puppetry show, with topics addressing important social issues such as Eve-teasing, Menstrual Awareness, Climate Change, Agriculture, and Lack of Transportation. Over 30 students from various departments, along with faculty members, attended the workshop.
Principal Dr. Samina Iqbal appreciated the efforts of Mass Communication & Journalism students and Charkha Foundation for their dedication to address such meaningful topics through creative mediums.
Delivering the vote of thanks, Assistant Professor, Mass Communication & Journalism, Mohammad Ali Khan expressed his gratitude to the resource people, students and faculty for making the workshop a successful one.
