Executive Councilor Aga Syeed Mujtaba Mussavi visits landslide-hit Sarchey, assures people relief efforts

Kargil, August 04, 2024: Executive Councilor (Social Welfare/Agriculture/Animal and Sheep Husbandry/ICDS) LAHDC, Kargil, Aga Syeed Mujtaba Mussavi today visited the landslide-affected area of Sarchey.

He was accompanied by the Tehsildar, Naib-Tehsildar, Block officials and assessed the damage in order to provide support to affected people.

Notably, the Executive Councillor himself engaged in a rescue operation till late evening yesterday. EC also met with local bodies, affected residents to understand the situation.

He directed Tehsildar to survey the damage and initiate a relief for the affected residents. The EC also directed the Block officials to restore the affected irrigation canal on priority.

He assured the villagers that he will take up the matter with Chairman/CEC, LAHDC, Kargil and DC/CEO, LAHDC, Kargil and will try his best to support affected people.
