GDC Kargil organizes essay writing competition on importance of biotechnology

Kargil April 06, 2023: As part of the ongoing Janbhagidari G20 Summit to celebrate G20 Presidency of India, Department of Biotechnology, GDC Kargil today organized an Essay Writing Competition on “Importance of Biotechnology in Futuristic Agriculture of Ladakh”.

The event was held under the supervision of Principal Dr. Amina Quari for the students of B.Sc. Biotechnology in which more than 20 participants participated.

The essays of students were evaluated based on ideation and writing skills in relevance to the given theme title. The panel of judges included three faculty members of sciences department of GDC Kargil.

Haroon Ali, a 6th semester student bagged 1st position, Kaneez Fatima, 2nd semester student bagged 2nd position and Safiya Banoo, 2nd Semester student bagged 3rd position with a marginal scores differences. The winners were awarded with prizes on the occasion.

In the end, Dr Kunzes Dolma, HoD, Department of Biotechnology presented vote of thanks and appreciated the enthusiasm of the students during the event.
