The Students Artist Group of Government Girls Higher Secondary School, G.M. Pore has brought pride to Ladakh by winning First Position at the UT-Level Role Play Competition organized by the National Population Education Cell (NCERT). Competing against several schools across the Union Territory, the young performers impressed judges with their powerful presentation and compelling storytelling.
The team’s role play, themed “Emotional Well-being and Drug Abuse,” delivered a strong and timely social message. Through expressive acting and thoughtful narration, the students highlighted the importance of mental health and the growing need to protect youth from the dangers of drug misuse. Their performance not only showcased creativity but also reflected deep understanding of issues affecting today’s generation.
With this remarkable achievement, the talented students have earned the honour of representing Ladakh at the National Level. This opportunity will place them on a broader platform, allowing them to spread awareness and advocate for emotional well-being and a drug-free society before a wider audience.
The students expressed heartfelt gratitude to their dedicated mentors, especially Sajjad Sir, whose continuous guidance played a vital role in shaping the winning performance. They also thanked the Principal Ma’am for her consistent support, encouragement, and motivation throughout the preparation process.
This victory stands as a testament to the school’s commitment to nurturing talent, promoting social awareness, and empowering young voices to lead positive change. As the GGHSS G.M.
