Nubra, December 22, 2025:
As part of the observance of Good Governance Week, an outreach camp under the “Prashasan Gaon Ki Ore 2025” (Administration at Your Doorstep) initiative was successfully organized at Chamshen village, Tehsil Sumoor. The event aimed at strengthening citizen-centric governance by bringing essential public services directly to the people.
During the programme, officials from various government departments actively engaged with local residents, addressing public grievances, responding to queries and recording concerns related to local developmental and service delivery issues.
On-Spot Delivery of Public Services
The outreach camp ensured seamless delivery of multiple services on the spot. Key highlights included:
Issuance of 12 Resident Certificates 3 Electoral Roll entries 8 Revenue Extracts by the Revenue Department 40 NCD screenings conducted by the Health Department 2 Artisan Credit Cards issued by the Handicrafts Department 4 e-KYC registrations completed by the Food and Civil Supplies Department
Additionally, the Sheep and Animal Husbandry Department distributed deworming and dressing kits, along with providing treatment in 7 livestock-related cases, ensuring support to the farming and pastoral communities.
Citizen-Centric Governance in Action
Various departments extended several essential welfare and administrative services, guiding beneficiaries about government schemes, welfare programmes and service delivery processes. The initiative reinforced the commitment towards effective outreach, improved accessibility and transparent governance, reflecting the true spirit of Good Governance Week.
The successful organization of the camp under “Prashasan Gaon Ki Ore 2025” highlights the administration’s continued efforts to strengthen last-mile service delivery and ensure responsive, citizen-focused governance across rural areas of Ladakh.
