
Kargil, March 1, 2026:
A large procession was organized in Kargil to mourn the martyrdom of Ayatollah Imam Syed Ali Khamenei. The event was held under the banner of the Imam Khomeini Memorial Trust (IKMT) and witnessed the participation of thousands of people, including men, women, and children from across the district.
Participants gathered at various locations in Kargil before marching peacefully through the town’s main streets. Many mourners carried photographs of Ayatollah Khamenei and expressed deep sorrow over his martyrdom. The procession reflected strong emotions and unity among the participants.

During the march, mourners raised slogans condemning Israel, the United States, and their allies, holding them responsible for the tragedy. Participants also recited nohas and elegies in remembrance of the departed leader. The atmosphere throughout the procession remained solemn and emotionally charged, as people expressed their grief and solidarity with the global Muslim community.
The procession concluded at Hussaini Park in Kargil, where a large public gathering took place. Several prominent religious scholars and community leaders addressed the crowd. In their speeches, they highlighted the life, leadership, and contributions of Ayatollah Imam Syed Ali Khamenei. Speakers emphasized the importance of unity, steadfastness, and commitment to moral and religious values in the face of global challenges.

At the end of the program, organizers announced that a seven-day mourning program will begin from the following day at Hussaini Park. The sessions will include religious lectures, recitations of elegies, and discussions on the teachings and legacy of the late leader.
The Imam Khomeini Memorial Trust, Kargil, also expressed gratitude to the district administration and volunteers for their cooperation in ensuring that the procession was conducted in a peaceful and orderly manner.
