Leh, 22 April 2026 : On the second day of prayer ceremonies for the upcoming Sacred Exposition of the Holy Relics of Tathagata Buddha, monks from Likir Monastery conducted a solemn prayer ceremony at Dharma Centre in Choglamsar.

The monks gathered in a deeply devotional atmosphere to offer prayers, seeking blessings, peace, and spiritual merit for the successful organisation of the sacred exposition. A large number of devotees also joined the ceremony, reflecting widespread faith and enthusiasm for the forthcoming event.

The Sacred Exposition is expected to attract pilgrims and visitors from across the region and beyond. This rare and auspicious occasion will provide devotees with an opportunity to pay homage to the holy relics and engage in spiritual reflection and practice.

The prayer ceremony forms an important part of the preparatory rituals, symbolising collective faith and invoking divine blessings for the smooth conduct of the exposition. The event continues to hold immense spiritual and cultural significance for the people of Ladakh and the wider Buddhist community.

The full schedule includes prayer at Takthok Gonpa (23rd), Chemdey Gonpa (24th), Hemis Gonpa (25th), Matho Gonpa (26th), Stakna Gonpa (27th), and Thiksey Gonpa (28th).
