Leh, December 17, 2025:
A one-day Capacity Building Programme on the Poverty Reduction Plan (PRP) for Self Help Groups (SHGs) was successfully conducted at the District Panchayat Resource Centre, Leh. The programme was organized by the Department of Rural Development and Panchayati Raj under the Rashtriya Gram Swaraj Abhiyan (RGSA).
The initiative witnessed the active participation of 95 Self Help Groups, reflecting strong community engagement and effective mobilization efforts. The impressive turnout was achieved through continuous coordination and support, ensuring timely participation of SHG members.
The training session was designed to be highly interactive and informative, encouraging meaningful dialogue between the Master Trainer and SHG members. Participants were introduced to structured approaches for poverty reduction, with a focus on planning, implementation, and monitoring at the grassroots level.
Through this programme, SHG members enhanced their understanding of poverty alleviation strategies and strengthened their capacity to contribute effectively to local development initiatives. The session also emphasized the importance of community-led planning and sustainable livelihood generation.
