Prof. P. D. Sahare from University of Delhi visits GDC Drass
Kargil, August 07, 2024: Prof. P. D. Sahare from Department of Physics and Astrophysics, University of Delhi today visited Govt. Degree College Drass.
The guest was welcomed with traditional khataqs. While interacting with faculty members, Prof. Sahare shared his experiences in academics and higher education.
He enlightened the teachers about the key areas to focus on while applying for NAAC Accreditation. As a member of NAAC Peer Review Team in colleges, he emphasized focusing on teaching and learning aspects, particularly related to teachers and students.
Prof. Sahare highlighted that areas such as teachers’ profiles, students’ performance, and infrastructure facilities play a vital role in NAAC accreditation.
“Feedback mechanisms pertaining to teachers’ performance, proper documentation of activities, parent-teacher meets, and alumni associations should be taken into consideration for getting the best results for NAAC accreditation,” said Prof. Sahare.
In the end, on behalf of Principal Dr Amjad Ali Abassi and faculty GDC Drass, Archo Fatima, AP English thanked the visiting guest for his valuable suggestions and inputs.
