Leh, December 11, 2025:
The Union Territory Administration of Ladakh has officially announced a revision in fares for subsidised helicopter services operating across designated routes in the region. The revised fare structure will apply to helicopter services connecting remote and far-flung areas of Ladakh.
According to an order issued by the Department of Civil Aviation, UT Ladakh, the updated fares have been notified under Order No. 21-LA-(CA) of 2025, dated 11 December 2025. The revised rates are detailed in Annexure ‘A’, which specifies route-wise helicopter types and corresponding flying durations.
The administration clarified that the new fare structure will remain effective until further orders, ensuring continued access to essential air connectivity for residents of remote regions, especially during challenging weather and road conditions.
The order has been issued with the approval of the competent authority and signed by Dr. Franklin Laltinkhuma, IAS, Secretary, Civil Aviation Department, UT of Ladakh.
To ensure smooth implementation, copies of the order have been forwarded to senior officials including the Deputy Commissioners of Leh and Kargil, Director General of Police, Ladakh, Pawan Hans, NIC Leh, and other concerned departments. Necessary updates are also to be made on the Heli Services portal for public access and transparency.
The subsidised helicopter service continues to play a crucial role in Ladakh by providing lifeline connectivity, facilitating medical evacuations, administrative movement, and public travel to areas with limited road access.
