2-day cleanliness drive begins in Zanskar
Kargil April 15, 2023: A two-day cleanliness drive was started today in Zanskar Sub Division under the banner of “Clean and Green Zanskar” under the aegis of Zanskar Administration headed by SDM Sonam Dorjay.
On the first day officers along with their subordinates, ICDS workers and helpers, casual workers of PWD Department, students and staff of Lamdon Model High School Pipiting and Model Public School Padum, volunteers of Merchant Association and Ladakh Police personnel headed by SHO Zanskar also participated in the cleanliness drive.
The drive started from Tourist Dak Bungalow Padum up to CHC Padum and surrounding areas of headquarter and markets.
The Contractor Union Zanskar provided two tractors while Block Department Officer provided one garbage vehicle and three pickup vans to take the waste to dumping site.
