3-day awareness program for senior citizens concludes at Kargil 

Kargil, March 17, 2023: The three-day awareness- cum-information program for senior citizens of Ladakh organized by Elderline-Ladakh in coordination with the Department of Social and Tribal Welfare, Ladakh, Department of Health, NHM and UIDAI concluded today at Kargil.

Additional Deputy Commissioner (ADC) Kargil, Ghulam Mohi-ud-In Wani visited and inspected the stalls on the closing day and directed to clear old age pension cases which are pending.

He was informed about future plans to host such events at Block levels and assured to extend full support.

During the program, a total of 204 issues related to Aadhaar card and 20 issues of old age pension were resolved.

Also, a total of 62 people (mostly senior citizens) enrolled for Golden Card (Ayushman Bharat) and 38 health IDs were made on the spot.

Similarly, a total of 215 senior citizens were sensitized about the Elderline services, healthcare related schemes.

The program was started on March 15 March and concluded today.The participants appreciating the move.
