3-month long skill-based entrepreneurship program concludes at Kargil

Kargil, March 20, 2023: Nehru Yuva Kendra, Kargil, Ministry of Youth Affairs and Sports, Government of India on Sunday organized the closing ceremony of the three-month skill-based entrepreneurship program at Singrong-Barsoo.

The program started on 20-12-2022 with the objective to enhance the basic vocational skills of rural youth and enable them to enhance their self-esteem in society. During the three-month program, participants learned the skill of tailoring and cutting.

District Panchayat Officer, Padma Angmo was the chief guest of the program. She praised the NYK Kargil for organizing such programs in far-flung areas. She enlightened the participants about various programs of the Rural Development and Panchayat Raj Department (RD&PRD).

Dr Rinchen Dolkar women scientist KVK Kargil was the guest of honour. She spoke about various agricultural schemes.

District Youth Officer, NYK Kargil, Jigmat Spaldon congratulated all the participants for successfully completing the three-month course in cutting and tailoring. She also motivated them to keep practicing on learned skill so that they can become self-employed and earn livelihood.

The program was successful and participants expressed their gratitude NYK Kargil for giving them such an opportunity. The program concluded with a vote of thanks by Instructor Anjum.
