CEC Kargil Launches Regional Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav Quiz by RNU Kargil

Role of AIR Kargil in the Development of the Area is Countless: Feroz Ahmad Khan


In Ladakh, as part of Nation Wide celebrations of Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav, Chief Executive Councillor of LAHDC Kargil Feroz Ahmad Khan launched a weekly Quiz Competition for the public by Regional News Unit AIR Kargil.
Feroz Khan recorded the first question of the Quiz program in his voice.

During year-long weekly Quiz programme, one question covering History, Culture, Literature and other important aspects of the Kargil-Ladakh region will be asked during the 7.25 PM News Bulletin, on every Friday. The answer should reach through email ID: till 10 AM by the following Sunday. First correct answer received on mail will be declared winner. Winners will be awarded with a prize by LAHDC Kargil at the end of every Month at LAHDC Secretariat Kargil.

In the quiz launch program at Conference Hall in AIR Kargil, Feroz Ahmad Khan said that Akashvani Kargil has played a pivotal role in serving nation in terms of providing right information to the people of the region particularly during the 1999 Kargil War and other natural calamities.
He also said that Akashvani Kargil cares people of the region by providing programmes in their local languages Purgi, Balti, Sheena and other dialects. It is playing major role in preserving and promoting Culture, Langauge, Literature, traditions of Kargil. It cares linguistic and religious aspirations by producing programmes to the tastes of local people.
It disseminates awareness of Government schemes and emergent messages/news of natural calamities to the people of the region to safeguard their life and property.

Kargil Deputy Commissioner Santosh Sukhadeve and Executive Councillor for Works and Information LAHDC Kargil Aga Syed Abass Razvi along with Head of Office AIR Kargil Chandrika Prasad and other officials also present at AIR Kargil news quiz launch event.
