Secy Tourism reviews arrangement for Rejuvenating Tourism: Another Day in Nirvana to be held in Ladakh from Aug 25-29

 

Leh, August 16: Secretary, Tourism & Culture, UT Ladakh, K. Mehboob Ali Khan, today, chaired a meeting regarding the Tourism event ‘Rejuvenating Tourism: Another Day in Nirvana in Leh-Ladakh’ which is scheduled to be held from August 25-29.

 

The event will be organised by the Ministry of Tourism in collaboration with the Department of Tourism, UT Ladakh, TRIFED, FICCI and ATOAI.

 

Secretary, K Mehboob Ali informed that the objective of the event is to promote Leh Ladakh under Domestic Tourism with a focus on aspects of adventure, spirituality, tranquillity, natural beauty, culture and film Tourism.

 

Further, he informed that the event aims to provide indigenous product knowledge to the industry, stakeholders and also to provide a platform to the local stakeholders for interaction with the Tour Operators/buyers from the rest of the country.

 

The two days’ event will include activities like exhibition, panel discussion, technical tours to showcase new tourism facilities and tourism products of Ladakh.

 

While reviewing the arrangements, Secretary Mehboob directed the concerned officers to make all necessary arrangements to make the event successful.

 

The meeting was attended by Director Tourism, Ladakh; Joint Director, Housing & Protocol, Ladakh; CEO/Exen, LDA; Deputy Secretary, Cultural Academy, Leh/Kargil; Executive Engineer, Construction Division; ARTO, Leh; AD Information, Leh; AD Tourism, Leh/Kargil; AO, Directorate of Tourism; EO, MC, Leh; DIO, NIC, Leh; President, ALTOA/ALGHHA/AKTTA and President, Taxi Union, Leh.
