8 new positive cases report in UT Ladakh;
12 patients cured and discharged
Leh, Aug 22: As per the media bulletin released by the Directorate of Health Services UT Ladakh, eight new positive sample reports of Covid-19 were received yesterday, seven in Leh and one in Kargil. While a total of 1288 sample reports in UT Ladakh – Leh: 982 and Kargil: 306 were found negative.
No death from Covid-19 was reported in UT Ladakh yesterday.
The bulletin further details that UT Ladakh has discharged 12 patients yesterday ten from Leh and two from Kargil. With this, the total number of COVID-19 active cases in UT Ladakh has come down to 68; 62 in Leh and six in Kargil district.
The bulletin further informs that 1553 passengers were screened at KBR Airport Leh yesterday. While 94 and 347 passengers including the drivers and helpers of trucks, and light motor vehicles were screened at Khaltse and Upshi check posts.
