All Ladakh PMSSS Student Union executive members Meet MP Ladakh Haji Hanifa to Discuss Student Issues

New Delhi, 24 September 2024: The executive members of the All Ladakh PMSSS Student Union, including Fiza , Stanzin (Vice President, Leh), Mustafa (Vice President, Kargil), and Jigmet (General Secretary, Leh), met with Ladakh Member of Parliament Haji Hanifa in New Delhi to address several important concerns faced by students under the PMSSS scheme.

The primary issue raised was the on-hold admission process under PMSSS, which has caused significant challenges for students. Due to the delay, many students are facing uncertainties regarding their academic future. MP Haji Hanifa assured them that he would engage with the relevant authorities to expedite the admission process and ensure that students can proceed with their academic plans without further delays.

Additionally, the executive members discussed the delay in the disbursement of National Scholarship Portal (NSP) and pmsss scolarship funds for the 2023 batch. Many students have not yet received their NSP and Pmsss scholarships, leading to financial strain. MP Hanifa acknowledged the seriousness of the issue and promised to speak with the concerned officials to ensure timely release of the scholarship payments.

The executive members also raised the matter of registering the All Ladakh PMSSS Student Union. Due to the lack of official registration, the union has faced financial difficulties, particularly during offline counseling sessions in Ladakh. They requested MP Hanifaโ€™s assistance in getting the union formally registered, which would help resolve these financial challenges. The MP assured his full support for the union’s registration and encouraged the members to begin the necessary steps. He promised to offer assistance throughout the process.

The union appreciates the support of MP Haji Hanifa and looks forward to continued collaboration with him to resolve these challenges.
