Leh, 24 September, 2026: Anand Jain, IPS, DGP UT Ladakh, held an interactive meeting with members of the Retired Police Welfare Association (RPWA), Leh, at Police Headquarters, Leh.
During the meeting, Sonam Dorjay, President, RPWA Leh, apprised the DGP of various issues and grievances concerning the association and requested his support in strengthening the association and promoting the welfare of retired police personnel.
A detailed and threadbare deliberations on various issues concerning the welfare of retired police personnel and their families. DGP Ladakh appreciated the dedication, experience and initiatives of the retired police personnel towards various welfare activities. He assured the members of his support and expressed interest in facilitating suitable office space for the association and extending other possible welfare measures by Ladakh Police in the future.
Several senior retired police officers and personnel, including Sh. Nawang Tsering Shunu, Retd. SP, and Sh. Tsering Angchuk Lakrook, Retd. DySP, attended the meeting and shared their views and suggestions.
During the interaction, AIG (Personnel) PHQ and AIG (Provision) PHQ also highlighted various initiatives and possible measures by Ladakh Police aimed at extending support to retired police personnel and their families and addressing their welfare needs.
