Director Sheep Husbandry Department UT Ladakh Inaugurates Newly Established District Sheep Husbandry Officer’s Office in Changthang District

Changthang District, September 16: Director, Sheep Husbandry Department, UT Ladakh, Dr. Iftikhar Hussain, was warmly welcomed by Dr. Mohd Abass, District Sheep Husbandry Officer (DSHO), along with the departmental staff and the heads of different villages of Changthang District.

The Director inaugurated the newly established office of the District Sheep Husbandry Officer, Changthang District.

After the inauguration, the Director interacted with the village heads and discussed various issues related to livestock development and the welfare of livestock owners. He listened to their concerns and took feedback on the problems being faced by livestock owners at the village level.

The Director then held a meeting with the officers and officials. Dr. Mohd Abass briefed him about the newly established office and the various departmental activities and livestock development programmes being carried out in the district.

The Director reviewed the field work and ongoing departmental activities and advised the officers and officials to work sincerely and stay in regular contact with livestock owners. He stressed the importance of providing timely veterinary and livestock services.

The Director particularly stressed the importance of punctuality, discipline and proper performance of duties. He advised the staff to remain active in the field and complete their work properly and on time.

He also stressed the need for proper implementation of departmental schemes and programmes so that their benefits reach livestock owners at the grassroots level.
