EC Syed Ali Mosavi Discusses Dairy Development Project with NDDB

Kargil, October 10, 2026:

Executive Councillor, LAHDC Kargil, Syed Ali Mosavi, held a meeting with representatives of the National Dairy Development Board (NDDB) to discuss the proposed dairy project in Kargil in collaboration with the Ladakh Dairy Federation. Dr. Sarwar Shahzad, SDM Sankoo, was also present.

The meeting focused on improving the dairy sector, supporting local farmers and cooperative societies, creating employment opportunities for the youth, and addressing water-related issues faced by farmers.

Syed Ali Mosavi stressed that the interests of local farmers and cooperative societies must be given top priority and that the project should bring real benefits to the people of Kargil. He also emphasised the need to provide employment opportunities to local youth through the development of the dairy sector.

He further informed that a meeting with villagers, farmers, and cooperative societies will be held in the coming days to listen to their concerns and discuss the way forward.
