Mountaineer from Italy treated at Shapad Kargil
Kargil, August 20, 2022:
Federico Nicoli Chrustiani, a 64-year-old sick mountaineer from Italy was today treated at Shapad by a team of doctors and paramedics of Community Health Centre Sankoo.
The District Administration Kargil deputed a special team to Shapad to treat the mountaineer who had suffered acute mountain sickness at a high altitude.
The mountaineer was examined at Shapad, the place where he reached by walking. Earlier, he had suffered acute mountain sickness at high altitude (6500 metres above seas level) but today he was normal after the medical intervention.
The elderly mountain climber was treated by Dr. Tariq and team from CHC Sankoo at Shapad. Naib Tehsildar Taisuru was also present at Shapad with the medical team.
Police, SDRF officials were also with him. Later, the mountaineer left to Kargil in the Critical Care Ambulance.
