ADC Kargil chairs meeting on preparedness for flash floods, writing of Jamabandi, other revenue-related matters

Kargil, June 24, 2023:

On the direction of Deputy Commissioner/CEO, LAHDC, Kargil, Santosh Sukhadeve, the Additional Deputy Commissioner (ADC), Kargil, Ghulam Mohi-ud-Din Wani today convened a meeting with district officers regarding the preparedness for flash floods, writing of Jamabandi and other revenue related matters in his office chamber.

The meeting was attended by ACR, Kargil A.G. Zargar, CPO, Kargil, Abdul Hadi, Executive Engineer Mechanical, Muhammad Hassan, SDMs, Tehsildars and Naib Tehsildars of the respective Tehsils.

The agenda of the meeting was preparedness for the flash floods, removal of remnants, uprooted trees etc. from the Nallahs, writing of Jamabandi/Girdawari, validation of map 1-0 and 2-0 under SVAMITVA scheme, land acquisition, encroachment on State/UT land, progress of revenue court cases and other revenue related matters were thoroughly discussed.

The ADC directed the Mechanical Department to keep the JCBs, dumpers and other machines at the disposal of the concerned SDMs for trailing of Nallahs in the district.

He also directed the Mechanical Department to closely coordinate with the concerned SDMs and Tehsildars while dealing with Nallah trailing.

The ADC also instructed the concerned officers to start the trailing of Nallahs immediately in flood-prone areas so that the floods can be avoided at the initial stage.

During the meeting, the writing of Jamabandi/Girdawari, land acquisition and other revenue-related works were also discussed thoroughly.

The concerned SDMs and Tehsildars were instructed to complete all the pending Jamabandi works before July 15, 2023. He also directed the concerned officers to upload the land acquisition status on the portal as soon as possible.
