ADC Kargil chairs meeting to finalize District Environment Plan
Kargil April 12, 2023: Additional Deputy Commissioner Kargil, Ghulam Mohi-Ud-Din Wani today chaired a meeting to finalize the District Environment Plan (DEP) involving a host of activities to be taken up by different departments during the FY 2023-24.
The meeting was attended by Chief Medical Officer Kargil, Divisional Forest Officer Kargil, Livestock Development Officer Kargil, Chief Horticulture Officer, RTO Kargil, DIC Manager Kargil, AD Fisheries and other concerned officers.
It was informed that the annual action plan aimed at improving overall parameters of the environment in the district includes curbing use of plastic/polythene, improving disposal of solid waste and hospital waste, water conservation, curbing air, water pollution etc.
The ADC scrutinized the sub-plans which were deliberated upon by the line departments in detail and suggested measures were included for the finalization of the plan.
The ADC directed the concerned departments, who have yet not submitted the DEP, to submit the same without any further delay.
