Administrator MC Kargil, Imteeaz Kacho, today flagged off the ‘Swachhata Hi Seva’ campaign 2024, from Kargil’s MC Yard marking the beginning of a 15-day campaign dedicated to cleanliness and environmental sustainability.
As a part of the special campaign today,a mega cleanliness drive was conducted in Wards No. 1 and 2. Moreover, the already-identified black spots in Lchangchik were cleaned by staff of MC-Kargil. The employees wholeheartedly engaged in the drive while cleaning the lanes and by-lanes.
While launching the campaign, the Administrator addressed the gathering of the staff and officials of MC-Kargil as well as the members of rhetorical taxi and bus unions.He said that the special campaign aims at creating a cleaner and healthier environment for all residents.
He emphasized the importance of “Swachhata” and encouraged the staff of MC-Kargil to religiously maintain cleanliness for the welfare of residents of the town area.
Through collaborative efforts and community engagement, MC-Kargil strives to cultivate a culture of responsibility towards maintaining cleanliness and fostering a sustainable living environment,he said.
Kacho also emphasized the significance of maintaining a clean and hygienic environment and highlighted the long-term benefits of such initiatives.
He urged upon people to make individual efforts and strive towards generating less waste each passing day.
Further, Kacho informed the gathering about the events and activities of MC-Kargil lined up in the run-up to Gandhi Jayanti.
