Adolescent Awareness Programme was organised at Government High School Kaksar

Kargil, November 04: An Adolescence Awareness Programme (AAP) was organized for Girls students at GHS Kaksar by Sakina Batool (Psychiatrist Social Worker) District Hospital Kargil.

Adolescence is a critical period during which significant personality reorganization occurs. The suddenness and rapid pace, with which the changes take place in the body and mind of adolescents, generate a number of problems and special needs which they find difficult to understand on their own.

The important aspects related to adolescents like: Family values, Nutrition, Personal hygiene etc; were discussed. Issues like Peer pressure, Sex Abuse and Media Literacy were also highlighted to prepare the students to be vigilant and to be aware of their surroundings. The session was conducted separately for the Girls.
