Annual Day Celebrated with Enthusiasm at Government Council Model High School, Goma Kargil

Government Council Model High School, Goma Kargil, celebrated its Annual Day with great enthusiasm and vibrancy in the newly constructed school building. The event witnessed active participation from students, teachers, parents, and members of the local community.

Councillor Town, Haji Mohd Abass Adulpa, graced the occasion as the Chief Guest, while Sajjad Hussain, Vice Chairman of the Village Education Committee (VEC), attended as the Guest of Honour.

The programme commenced with the singing of the National Anthem, followed by the recitation of verses from the Holy Quran. Students presented a variety of cultural performances, including skits based on the theme of national integration, which were highly appreciated by the audience for their meaningful message and confident presentation.

While addressing the gathering, Sajjad Hussain expressed sincere gratitude to the Chief Guest for his unwavering support in the construction of the new school building, which was completed within a short span of six months. He also lauded Contractor Haji Niyaz Ali for executing the construction work efficiently while maintaining high quality standards.

In his address, Chief Guest Haji Mohd Abass Adulpa thanked the school administration for the invitation and the opportunity to interact with the students. He highlighted that the school now possesses excellent infrastructure along with a team of dedicated teachers. Urging the people of Goma Kargil to enroll their children in the institution, he emphasized that increased student strength would further contribute to the school’s progress. He also congratulated the school management for the commendable achievements of its students at district and state levels, including their selection for national-level competitions in various categories.

Headmaster Zarina Batool presented a detailed report outlining the academic and co-curricular achievements of the school and expressed gratitude to the guests and stakeholders for their encouragement and continued support.

On the occasion, the Chief Guest also inaugurated the newly constructed multipurpose hall of the school, marking another milestone in the institution’s development.

The programme concluded with the distribution of mementos and awards to meritorious students by the Chief Guest and other dignitaries. Members of the Village Education Committee, teachers, students, and parents were present during the event.
