BDC Chairperson Sodh calls on Commissioner/Secretary UT Ladakh at Kargil
Kargil, Jan 16, 2023:
Block Development Council (BDC) Chairperson Sodh, Zakir Hussain and Sarpanch Tumail today called on Commissioner/Secretary UT, Ladakh, Ajeet Kumar Sahu at Office camp Kargil and presented a memorandum of demands regarding Sodh block.
The BDC and Sarpanch apprised the Commissioner\Secretary about various developmental issues of Sodh Block and requested for completion of the under-construction Kargil-Dumgil road. BDC Chairperson requested Sahu for his intervention regarding under construction Kargil-Dumgil road as its progress has been halted due to many reasons.
The BDC added that people are facing difficulties while skilled and unskilled labourers engaged in construction of the road haven’t received their dues.
The Commissioner/Secretary gave a patient hearing to the issues and assured them that the work on the said road will be restarted at its earliest.
