CEC chairs meeting with EO MC Kargil regarding 9th, 10th Muharram arrangements
Kargil, July 15, 2024: Chairman/CEC, LAHDC, Kargil, Dr Mohd Jaffer Akhoon today chaired a meeting with the Executive Officer, Municipal Committee (MC), Kargil, Raziya Khatoon and other staff members to discuss and finalize the arrangements for 9th and 10th Muharram.
During the meeting, the CEC emphasized that all necessary arrangements should be put in place in advance for Muharram processions.
He directed to ensure proper functioning of street lights within MC peripheries, providing sufficient bags and distributing employees zone-wise to maintain cleanliness.
The CEC also suggested increasing the number of labourers if required on 9th and 10th Muharram and directed to felicitate ground staff, sweepers and others for their diligent work, acknowledging them as the unsung warriors of the community.
Additionally, the CEC addressed the water logging issue at Titichumik and other affected areas in the jurisdiction municipality.
He instructed the concerned authorities to take immediate action. The Executive Officer assured the CEC that all the issues raised would be streamlined and resolved efficiently.
The Inspector, MC; Tax Inspector; Supervisors; Head Assistant; Incharge Assistant and Junior Engineer (Civil) attended the meeting.
