CEC Dr Jaffer distributes laptops to meritorious students of Kargil
Kargil, March 15, 2024: Chairman/CEC, LAHDC, Kargil, Dr Mohd. Jaffer Akhoon today distributed 42 laptops to meritorious students of Kargil district under the subsidy components of LAHDC-Kargil 2023-24 at an event organized by Education Department at Conference Hall.
Executive Councillors of LAHDC, Kargil, Kacho Mohammad Feroz and Syeed Mujtaba Mussavi, Councillor Chiktan, Kacho Liyakat, Chief Education Officer Kargil, SD Namgyal, Deputy CEO Kargil, principals, teachers, parents and students were present at the event.
Addressing the event, Dr Jaffer underscored the importance of education and initiatives for students. He also appreciated the meritorious students for excelling in their studies. The CEC also appreciated parents and teachers for making progress. He further assured to make more progress in the field of education in the coming years.
The Executive Councillors appreciated the meritorious students and parents of Kargil district. They also stressed continuing the initiative to benefit the local community in general and students in particular.
Chief Education Officer, Kargil, SD Namgyal stressed on the importance of the initiative and advised students to use the distributed laptops for educational purposes.
He added that this initiative has greatly benefited the students of the government schools and weaker sections of society.
Namgyal informed that the subsidy component was started in the year 2022-23 and approximately 42 students have benefited from the subsidy initiative of the LAHDC-Kargil.
