CEC Feroz Khan attends annual stakeholders’ meeting of rZamba

Kargil, July 08, 2023: Chairman/CEC, LAHDC, Kargil Feroz Ahmad Khan today attended the annual stakeholders meeting rZamba at Conference Hall, Baroo Kargil that showcased the progress of Holistic Child Wellbeing Program in the year 2022-23.

The CEC was informed that the event aims to provide a comprehensive update on rZamba’s transformative Holistic Child Wellbeing program, currently implemented in 10 communities across Kargil which is funded by Royal Enfield and supported by LAHDC, Kargil.

Khan said Govt. Schools in Kargil are transforming towards development with the help of NGOs like rZamba. He urged the village Education Committees (VEC’s) for joint coordination with Education Department and NGOs for making the education system better in the district.

“Collectively, we must enhance the quality of our public schools as education holds the key to advancing our generation. Given the absence of major industries, our primary focus should be on investing in the education of our children, equipping them with the necessary skills to thrive in the future,” the CEC said.

CEC Khan said that more than 40 models of schools are functional in the District.

He said the way of NGOs is different and plays a vital role in society. He assured rZamba organization for signing the MoU and assured full support from the LAHDC, Kargil in future as well and also thanked the sponsors for funding the NGO.

The annual stakeholder’s meeting served as a platform to showcase the remarkable progress achieved through the Holistic Child Wellbeing program.

Attendees included key stakeholders, such as Village Education Committee members from Darchiks, Tithichumik, Batalik, Tambis, Ando, Yourbaltak, Chanigund, Lober, Parkachik, Throngoss and Hardass. In addition, the event welcomed facilitators, students, and rZamba staff members.

During the event, the participants were engaged in insightful discussions, sharing experiences and knowledge related to rZamba’s pioneering program. A highlight of the event was the inspiring presentation by the facilitator and student from Darchiks, who shared their transformative journey through the Holistic Child Wellbeing Program.

 

Their stories resonated deeply with attendees, emphasising the positive impact rZamba is making among children and in communities through their work in govt. schools in Kargil.

 

The annual stakeholder’s meeting demonstrated rZamba’s commitment to transparency and accountability. Attendees gained a comprehensive understanding of the program’s achievements, challenges, and future goals. The event provided an opportunity for stakeholders to provide valuable feedback and contribute to the ongoing success of rZamba’s initiatives.

 

rZamba’s comprehensive Holistic Child Wellbeing initiative encompasses three key verticals that align with rZamba’s vision. The first vertical focuses on implementing project-based learning in government schools, enabling innovative teaching methods and customised education approaches to enhance students’ learning experiences.

 

The second vertical emphasises community and parent engagement, fostering strong connections between schools and communities.

 

Lastly, the initiative works towards enhancing school processes to create efficient and supportive educational institutions. By addressing these verticals, rZamba strives to empower children, equip families and strengthen the educational ecosystem, aligning with its vision of holistic child wellbeing and creating a brighter future for the communities it serves.
