CEC Feroz Khan chairs meeting regarding Council Model Middle School Hagnis

Kargil, April 20, 2023:

Chairman/CEC, LAHDC, Kargil Feroz Ahmad Khan today chaired a meeting of Village Education Committee (VEC) and School Management Committee (SMC) to discuss the management and infrastructure development of Council Model Middle School Hagnis (CMMSH) Chiktan and faculty issues in other govt. schools at Council Secretariat Kargil.

Executive Councilor Health, LAHDC Kargil and Councilor Chiktan Constituency, Mohsin Ali, Incharge CEO Kargil Muhammad Amin, ZEO Chiktan Muhammad Ibrahim, Coordinator SMAGRA Shabir Hussain, President CMMSH, Vice President of the committee, Sarpanchs, Panchs, Lamberdar and VEC members were present in the meeting

The CEC sought details about the digitization and updation of infrastructure in the CMMSH. He said the best infrastructure should be provided in the school and also in various other government schools of the area.

The committee members of Hagnis presented a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) that outlined the terms and conditions of the partnership between School Education Department, Kargil, parents, Village Education Committee, School Management Committee and other stakeholders of Council Model Middle School Hagnis, Chiktan.

Regarding the infrastructure, the committee members updated the CEC about the existing physical infrastructure and human resource of Council Model Middle School which is not sufficient and many additional resources are required for upgradation into Model School.

They said quality infrastructure and human resources should be prioritized to provide quality education to children of Hagnis village.

The CEC assured all possible support from LAHDC Kargil in developing the management and infrastructure in all schools of Kargil.

Regarding the rationalization policy, Khan said there is a need to effectively implement this policy so that the student-teacher ratio is balanced in schools.

He said in the present time govt. and private schools are equal in terms of education standard and there is no need to admit children in private schools.

The CEC also instructed the CEO Kargil and ZEO Kargil to transfer the teachers on need basis where the student enrolment exceeds.
