CEC Feroz Khan reviews electrification of hospitals, schools

KARGIL, APRIL 06, 2022: Chairman and Chief Executive Councilor (CEC) LAHDC Kargil, Feroz Ahmad Khan today convened a review meeting regarding the electrification of hospitals and government schools of Kargil district at Council Secretariat.

The meeting was attended by Executive Councilor Health, Mohsin Ali, Deputy Commissioner and CEO LAHDC Kargil, Santosh Sukhadeve, Chief Education Officer (CEO) Kargil, Mushtaq Ahmed, Chief Medical Officer (CMO), Dr Munawar Hussain Wazir, Executive Engineer R&B 2nd Kacho Mehmood Ali Khan besides other concerned officers were present during the meeting.

During the meeting, the CEC inquired from the concerned officers about the present status of electrifications of the health centres and government schools in the district.

On the occasion, CMO Kargil said that out of 171, around 129 health institutions have been provided with electricity and 42 are yet to be connected with electricity.

The CEO said that out of 551 government schools in the district, around 75 institutions are connected with electricity and around 476 are yet to get electricity.

CEC Khan directed the concerned officers to install meters at the existing electrified school and health institutions within a period of 15 days.

While stressing on regularization and installation of meters in all health and school institutions, the CEC directed the concerned officers of PDD to prepare a detailed cost estimation of left out schools, and health centres connected with electricity till June 01 this year.
