CEC Kargil inspects training of girl students to be trained by guards of President of India

Kargil, August 12, 2024: Chairman/Chief Executive Councilor of LAHDC Kargil, Dr. Mohd Jaffer Akhoon, today inspected the horse riding and polo training of girl students, who will be trained by the esteemed guards of the President of India in New Delhi.

A total of 28 students participated in the trial at Drass Polo Ground on July 04 out of which 16 students were selected for the training by Polo Promotion Committee Drass.

While interacting with the students, the CEC Kargil praised their efforts in securing training at Raj Bhavan. He remarked that this is a proud moment for the entire district, as these students will have the prestigious opportunity to represent Kargil on such a significant platform.

CEC Dr. Akhoon announced that a two-day training session will be organized by LAHDC Kargil in collaboration with the District Youth Services and Sports Department on August 17 and 18 to enhance the riders’ basic skills.

The CEC said that arrangements of boarding and lodging will be taken care of by the department. He also said that some funds will be provided from the untied head for the arrangements at Drass during the two-day training session.
